Eda Aslan (1993, Istanbul) artist and researcher. She studied sculpture at Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty and received her MA from the painting department in the same institution.
She is co-curator and researcher as part of The Garden of (not) Forgetting Project which she conducted with Dilşad Aladağ in 2017. The project received several research and production funds and exhibited in Germany and Turkey. Her artistic research practice is focused on the concepts of collective and personal memory, archives, space and history. Aslan's collaborative exhibitions include Der Garten des (Nicht) Vergessens with Dilşad Aladağ, Jüdisches Museum Franken (2022); The Garden of (not) Forgetting with Dilşad Aladağ, DEPO, Istanbul (2021) and the group shows she has participated are Saint Joseph: Beats of a Fabulous Machine, Saint Joseph High School, İstanbul (2021), The Futureless Memory, Kunsthaus Hamburg (2020), Beyond Words, 4th Mardin Biennial (2018).
Eda Aslan lives and works in Hamburg. She is currently pursuing her MA studies at Time Based Media Program of Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg - HFBK Hamburg with a DAAD scholarship.
