Didem Erbaş (1985, Istanbul) graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Painting Department and completed her MA at Sabancı University Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design. She has continued her art proficiency at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Basic Art Education.
In her practice, Erbaş concentrates on geography, housing, and topography concepts, which point to the socio-political environment of the geography she lives in, in more than one area such as painting, drawing, site-specific installation, and video. She worked on the concept of Useful Art (Arte Útil) with Tania Bruguera at the Salzburg Summer Academy in 2013. In 2022, she worked with Nato Thompson and Rirkrit Tiravanija at Alternative Art School with the support of SAHA. Her recent solo show Where the Green Ants Dream opened at Simbart Projects.
