The leading actor Bill Nighy is praised as the pinnacle of his career. Nighy was nominated at Satellite Awards and the Golden Globes, he later received the Best Leading Performance Award from the Los Angeles Critics Association. Oliver Hermanus previously directed Shirley Adams, Skoonheid/Beauty, The Endless River, and Moffie. The cast of Living includes Aimee Lou Wood, Alex Sharp, Tom Burke, Adrian Rawlins, Zoe Boyle, and Hubert Burton.
