Alphabets in use today have been used as the primary tool in representing various spoken languages. While these alphabets represent spoken language, spoken language articulates our ideas and thoughts through units of sound. So, how has this question of representation reflected on the mechanisation of writing we call typography? How have the emphases represented by various typographic parameters evolved from the past to the present? The speech where Onur Yazıcıgil shared the story of the evolution of typographic parameters from the Renaissance to the present day was open to all. The speech set out from the work titled Punctuation designed by Nazmiye Sena Yılmaz, which was on display on the facade of İKSV Alt Kat during April as part of the Camekân project.
