Candaş Şişman is an artist that manipulates human perceptions using different disciplines. In his speech at İKSV Alt Kat on 28 November titled “Multi-Sensory Installations and Experience Design”, Candaş Şişman talked about the production processes of his multi-sensory installations that appeal to different senses simultaneously and his projects focusing on experience.
Candaş Şişman is one of the founders of Nohlab, which produces interdisciplinary experiences around art, design and technology. He is also a member of NOS, which produces audiovisual performances. In recent years, he has been lecturing on the relationship between sound and visuals at various universities.
Since 2007, he has received the Prix ARS Electronica Computer Animation/Film/VFX Honorable Mention award and the Special Jury Award in the Art category of the Japanese Media Arts Festival. He has participated in many major festivals and exhibitions such as the Venice Architecture Biennial, TEDx, Ars Electronica, TodaysArt and FILE.
