İKSV Alt Kat’s Thinking, Exploring with Films workshop programme realised in collaboration with the Istanbul Biennial and Istanbul Film Festival consists of free film screenings followed by workshops for groups of 4-6 and 6-8-year-old children from various schools and non-governmental organisations.

Various programmes are offered for different age groups with a selection of films made by the teams of İKSV Alt Kat, the Istanbul Biennial and the Istanbul Film Festival under the consultancy of founder of Cinema with Children, screenwriter and film critic Burak Göral. After the film screenings, workshops are held for children to think about the films they have watched and develop their perceptions of different disciplines of art. The first of the film screenings was held in April 2019. The rotating moderators of the first workshops held between April-July 2019 were creative drama instructor Elif Özsoğuk Kadrizade and Atölye Pikolo founders Aslı Ersoy and Elif Üngör.

Embassies, consulates, cultural centres, producer and distributor companies, writers and directors offered their valuable contributions in the creation of the film selection.
