The Magical Jazz Forest, coordinated by Avi Medina, Rüya Nesrin and Sanat Deliorman, which brings the unique creations of children and team spirit together, presented a special free performance during A Childlike Day. Following the ten-week workshop programme held at İKSV Alt Kat in collaboration with the Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants and Beyoğlu Social Services Centre, participating children took audiences at A Childlike Day to the world of the magical jazz forest with an improvised performance inspired by blues tunes.

In the polyphonic workshop titled Whose Voice Is This?, children between the ages of 5 and 8 worked on basic sound exercises with the workshop coordinator Ezgi Barhan. The concept of “polyphony” was introduced in the workshop where games were played with different sounds.

At the Rhythmic Body Orchestra coordinated by Erdem Topsakal, children between the ages of 9 and 12 participated in various rhythm and body percussion exercises and had the chance to experience how a professional musician prepared for concerts during this enjoyable workshop.
