Born 1995 in Antalya, Cansın Kara received admission from Bilkent University Music and Performing Arts Faculty Music Prep School in 2002, specialising in violin under the tutorship of Marina Rahmatullayeva and Gara Aliyev, respectively. Kara graduated as the top student in the last semester in 2010 and pursued his education at Yehudi Menuhin School in the UK with Thomas Carroll. He participated in workshops at Ayvalık International Music Academy, Akademi Datça, Marshall University School of Music, Meadowmount School of Music and in Vienna; and master classes by Peter Bruns, Şölen Dikener, Frieder Lenz, Umberto Clerici, Hans Jørgen Jensen, Miklós Perényi and Heinrich Schiff. Among his awards are the first prize at the 1st National Cello Competition Mersin (2008), the third prize at Coratia VII. International Antonio Janigro Cello Competition and the second prize at X. Austria-Leizen International Cello Competition (2010). Cansın gave his first orchestra-accompanied concert when he was 13 with the Mersin University Academic Symphonic Orchestra and played in the company of Bilkent University Youth Symphonic Orchestra under the conductorship of Gürer Aykal. After winning the national auditions of the Festival Presents Its Young Soloist project of the 41st Istanbul Music Festival, Cansın shared the stage with Istanbul University State Conservatory Symphonic Orchestra under the conductorship of Ramiz Malik Aslanov, in 10 June 2013 at the festival.
